Biography
Donna Swain finds inspiration from her surroundings; drawing the stunning Coastal landscape, shapes, colours and textures in our midst.
Donna has studied Fine Arts at UBC and taken many exceptional workshops in Canada and the United States. Her painting passions are expressed thru expressionistic landscape, abstracted works, collage and mixed media. She regularly instructs workshops on the Sunshine Coast and in the Okanagan covering a wide variety of inspiring subjects from basics to advanced levels.
Donna currently shows her work in The Landing Gallery, Fresh on the Coast, Nadine’s Fine Art in Vernon, and juried shows in Vancouver’s Federation Gallery and the South Delta Artists Guild. Donna’s art has been published, and many of her medical illustrations hang in and are used for training purposes at corporate offices in Germany, China, India and Dubai. Personal collections are held internationally by many people who have connected to Donna’s art.
